Day to Day Itinerary Annapurna Basecamp Trek
Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu (1,320m/4,330ft)
Your Himalayan adventure begins in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital rich in history and culture. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you'll be greeted by our representative and escorted to your hotel. The day is yours to explore! Wander through the UNESCO-listed Kathmandu Durbar Square, marvel at the iconic Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), or immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest in the world. Savor authentic Nepali cuisine as you prepare for the journey ahead.
Day 2: Flight to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft) – A City of Lakes and Mountains
After a hearty breakfast, enjoy a short, scenic flight to Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region. This picturesque city, nestled beside tranquil Phewa Lake, offers stunning mountain views at every turn. Visit local gems like Davis Falls and the mystical Mahendra Cave. For an unforgettable evening, head to Sarangkot for a magical sunset over the Himalayas. Relax lakeside and indulge in a delicious dinner before settling into your cozy hotel for the night.
Day 3: Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540m/5,052ft)
Your trekking journey begins! A short drive takes you to Nayapul, where you’ll start your trek to Tikhedhunga. Wander through terraced fields, charming villages, and lush forests as you cross the Modi Khola river and pass Birethanti. After 4-5 hours of trekking, you'll reach Tikhedhunga, a peaceful village surrounded by verdant hills. Spend the night here, soaking in the serene atmosphere.
Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2,880m/9,449ft)
Today’s trek is both a challenge and a treat. Ascend through rhododendron forests (a riot of color in spring) and navigate cascading streams and picturesque villages. Though steep, the views of the Annapurna range make every step worthwhile. Arrive at Ghorepani, a charming village with cozy teahouses and stunning mountain vistas. Rest up for an early morning hike tomorrow!
Day 5: Sunrise at Poon Hill (3,210m/10,532ft) and Trek to Tadapani (2,620m/8,596ft)
Wake early for a pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill, where you’ll witness one of the most spectacular sunrises of your life. Watch the first rays illuminate the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges—truly a bucket-list moment! After breakfast in Ghorepani, trek onward to Tadapani, a tranquil village surrounded by dense forests and soaring peaks. Relax in a teahouse with breathtaking views.
Day 6: Trek to Sinuwa (2,360m/7,743ft)
Descend through enchanting forests and cross the Modi Khola once more as you trek towards Sinuwa. The trail’s diverse landscapes, from vibrant greenery to cascading waterfalls, keep the journey exciting. Sinuwa is a serene village, perfect for unwinding after a rewarding day of trekking.
Day 7: Trek to Deurali (3,230m/10,597ft)
The trail to Deurali winds through dense forests and rugged terrain, with awe-inspiring views at every turn. Pass quaint villages like Kuldihar and pause to admire stunning waterfalls along the way. At Deurali, you’ll be surrounded by towering peaks, setting the stage for your approach to Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 8: Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,550ft) – The Crown Jewel
Today’s trek is a gradual ascent, but the rewards are extraordinary. Follow the Modi Khola river as the Annapurna massif comes into view. Reaching Annapurna Base Camp is a triumph! Surrounded by panoramic mountain vistas and shimmering glaciers, you’ll feel on top of the world. Spend the night here, soaking in the grandeur of the Himalayas.
Day 9: Trek to Bamboo (2,300m/7,546ft)
Descend from Annapurna Base Camp, retracing your steps through lush forests and scenic landscapes. The downhill trail is gentle but requires careful footing. As the air becomes warmer and the greenery denser, you’ll arrive at Bamboo, a quaint settlement perfect for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Trek to Jhinu Danda (1,770m/5,807ft)
Today’s trek brings you to Jhinu Danda, famous for its natural hot springs. Cross suspension bridges and trek through picturesque villages while soaking in views of the Himalayas. End the day by unwinding in the rejuvenating hot springs—a well-deserved treat for your tired muscles!
Day 11: Trek to Pothana (1,890m/6,201ft)
The trail to Pothana takes you through vibrant forests, terraced fields, and charming villages. As you ascend, enjoy the cooler air and vibrant greenery. Pothana, with its panoramic mountain views, is a fantastic place to reflect on your trekking adventure.
Day 12: Trek to Phedi and Return to Pokhara
The final leg of your trek descends to Phedi, where a short drive will bring you back to Pokhara. Enjoy a leisurely evening in this serene city. Reflect on your achievements and savor your last night in the Annapurna region.
Day 13: Flight Back to Kathmandu | Farewell Dinner
Fly back to Kathmandu, enjoying one last aerial view of the majestic Himalayas. In the evening, join your group for a celebratory farewell dinner. Share stories and relive the highlights of your trek while indulging in traditional Nepali cuisine.
Day 14: Departure Day
It’s time to bid farewell to Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Kathmandu. Leave with cherished memories and stories to share from your epic Annapurna adventure.
